Inner seasons
There is so much we can learn from the feminine cycle. It is neither sustainable nor wise in life to expect linear growth and resist change. And yet some of us tend to feel there is something wrong with us if we are not able to sustain the same mood, performance and energy levels at all times.
Women can experience the natural cycle of growth, harvest, decay and rest each month. What a gift!
Are you curious how it works?
In the same way that nature in temperate climates has 4 seasons, so do we!
We start with day 1 – this is the first day of your period (bleeding starts) and we will call this first season winter (for resembling winter when we need to get warm, rest and slow down). In the second week (when the bleeding stops) we will move on to spring time with increasing energy levels and enthusiasm for new projects. The third week (around ovulation when most of us are most fertile) will be the summer week. The last week is autumn – a time of creativity and tidying up in yourself, your relationships and the space around you. After autumn comes the winter again!
How to know where I am in my cycle?
If you know the date of your last period, just count how many days have passed from the first day of your period and see the guide. If you don’t remember the date you can guess it, feel it or if you really don’t know wait for your period to start and mark the 1st day of the cycle.
Winter 1st-6th day
Spring 7th-13th day
Summer 14th-20th day
Autumn 21st-28th day
Please remember YOU are the expert of your body and we are all different! The best thing to do is notice the changes and take simply the timings provided here as an approximate guide.
